Who we are
This website is operated by Alethox, the consultancy of Daniel Enrique Alvarez, established in Belgium and operating as a self-employed sole trader (zelfstandige). Alethox is the controller of the personal data described below. For any privacy question, contact info@alethox.com.
Enterprise number (KBO/BCE): 1039556126. VAT: BE1039556126. Registered address available on request.
What data we collect
Information you send us: when you use the contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide, namely your name, your email address, and the content of your message.
Technical data: our hosting platform records standard technical information needed to run the site securely, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We also use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (see our Cookie Notice).
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and we do not buy or sell personal data.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together: the legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
To keep the website secure and working: the legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting and operating the site.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you send only as long as we need it to handle your enquiry and any relationship that follows. If no working relationship develops, we delete enquiry data within 24 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as Belgian law requires, for example accounting and tax obligations.
Who else processes it
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions: our website platform and hosting provider (Base44), which runs the site and stores contact-form submissions; and our email provider, used to receive and reply to your messages.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@alethox.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorite de protection des donnees), which you can reach at contact@apd-gba.be or www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, for example if we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent. The date at the top shows the latest version.
